When my youngest, now 2 yr old, was still a baby it is very difficult for me to catch sleep. We tried every tips we find by playing before dinner time to tire him but still he is awake till 1 am... We tried playing his favorite CD songs or watching winnie d pooh cd. We tried everything under the sun with no luck until a month after his birthday when I tried to give him a warm bath with Johnson's & Johnson's top to toes wash (a birthday gift) and then listening to lullaby - his favorite is 'Himbing' by Johnson's CD (also included as birthday gift)... Of course mommy should be lying beside him...At long last, mommy can have a descent sleep...

To this date, our routine would be after dinner, my kids and I usually will have bonding moments either watching CD/DVD with dad or reading books... after finishing what we had decided on, with just wink, my kids knew that its time to brush their teeth. After tooth brushing, both my 7 yr old daughter and 2 yr old son will proceed to the bedroom and will say a little prayer... You will know that they had said their prayers because both will race to you to kiss Daddy and Mommy goodnight. After this kiss and hugs and some cuddle time, both will go to their room and tucked themselves to sleep.

I am proud to say that as early as 2 yrs old my son knew his bedtime routine by heart. When his Tita would tell him, " hey, its already late, go to sleep now" My 2 yr old would immediately give a reply "No, tita, toothbrush first then 'amen' (he means pray) then kiss daddy and mommy before going to sleep"
